[] Despite major breakthroughs in chatbot and virtual assistant technology, the use of chatbots in education is still insubstantial. In my talk, based on my thesis, I will delve into chatbot technology’s under-explored potential in education: What are educational chatbots’ advantages and limitations? What pedagogical approaches emphasize their capabilities and help overcome their shortcomings? What are the best scenarios for their integration into a digital educational platform? To explore answers to these questions, I will present a prototype of a crowd-learning platform with integrated peer-chatbots that has a potential to contribute to a more successful educational process.
