Macromodling Tools for Signal and Power Integrity Analysis and Mitigation
November 14, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Prof. Roni Khazaka
McGill University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Recent advances in integrated circuit and packaging technologies have made signal and power integrity (SI/PI) one of the key performance limiting bottlenecks of current high-performance systems. As a result, SP/PI has become an integral part of the design of the design process. However, integrating signal and power integrity in conventional simulation and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools presents significant challenges. In this presentation, we will discuss the SI/PI challenges in current technologies, the difficulties they present to EDA tools, as well as some solutions based on black box macromodeling and Model Order Reduction (MOR) methods.
